Since Reed met the One Above All in that FF issue, and the Age of Ultron FF tie-in issue now never happened due to timey-wimey alterations, can we PLEASE ignore the "Reed is an atheist" (and "Ben may have created Doctor Doom") semi-revelations from the latter? (Not to mention that while Reed has never been shown as a churchgoer, his approach to the possibilities of a divine force in the cosmos (Double Shot #3, etc.) have tended to be more open rather than closed.) Pretty please?

I think the “Ben may have created Doctor Doom” revelation is a master stroke, actually, so I’m in no hurry to overturn that. As for the other, it feels to me a lot like wanting the character to reflect the reader’s own personal beliefs, and I don’t know that I can go along with that.

Brevoort, that’s a dismissive answer. As far as Reed’s religious beliefs, the asker is appealing to established continuity in a perfectly respectful and entirely accurate manner and you are throwing it back on his/her personal beliefs and how that may be coloring his/her comments?  Not cool.

No comment on Yours Truly creating Doom.
